When it comes to dolls … this Russian artist does not play around.
Michael Zajkov makes dolls so realistic, it’s creepy. His collection of handmade dolls is captivating people around the world. The faces of his art dolls are so realistic, that you expect these dolls to blink.
On his Instagram page, where he has more than 480,000 followers, several videos show him delicately smoothing and painting pieces of clay into perfectly formed faces, hands and feet with chilling precision.
He uses polymer clay for the dolls, hand painted glass eyes from Germany, and French mohair for hair.
Zajkov graduated from Kuban State University of Russia in 2009. His work was first introduced to the public in 2012 at the fourth international exhibition of “Art Dolls” in Moscow.
