When you look at Sara Guerts, you might not see a 26-year-old, at first glance. Due to her skin elasticity, she looks a few decades older than that. But it’s not premature aging - at the age of 10, Guerts began to understand that her stretchy skin was different from the rest of the 10-year-old population. This is due to a connective tissue disorder, called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, which affects the way collagen is processed, hence affecting skin elasticity.
