Maybe it's human nature to find and enjoy fault outside of ourselves, because while artificial intelligence has proved itself superior at sifting through big data and making tactical decisions, it falls flat at creating anything emotional, which we humans find incredibly amusing.
There was the AI tasked with naming paint colors. Hues like 'Gray Pubic' and 'Stoomy Brown' make it pretty safe to say that this AI assignment didn't go so well.
There was also Tay, a conversational chat bot designed by Microsoft's Technology and Research and Bing teams to learn from human interaction. In less than a day, Tay began spouting hate speech like, “Hitler was right,” and “I fucking hate feminists and they should all die and burn in hell.”
Now there's InspiroBot, an AI program capable of creating inspirational posters. You know, those memes with an uplifting message against a tranquil background.
The problem is, InspiroBot isn't all that inspirational. More like creepy if I had to label it.
