We love freezers because they preserve our precious food for days, weeks, and sometimes even months. Some tasty treats, like ice cream, are tailor-made for an ice box, but there are certian foods that should never come close to entering your freezer.
Here's a list of 10 foods which should never be placed in the freezer if you want to avoid some unpleasant surprises.
Raw eggs expand when frozen, which can cause the shell to break. You will also notice that frozen yolks become gummy when thawed. It's better to store eggs in the main body of the refrigerator.
2. Canned goods
When the liquid inside the can freezes it expands, causing the can to crack or explode.
3. Dairy products
Some dairy products become watery in the freezer. But here are some tips: you can freeze high-fat cream, whipped cream, and cream with sugar; milk, only if it's in its original container; and cheese, but only those with more than 40% fat.
